Jaguar woman has a pure political prospective of the Palestinian issue in the middle east:

“The Palestinian Issue is one of of the most troublesome legacies of the 20th Century. As a refugee population, their miserable fate of the Palestinian people is to be the victim of victims who have already sucked up all the available sympathy and remorse. The Jewish state of Israel was, literally, imposed on the Middle East by . . . primarily the U.S. . . . with the support of many smaller nations who had plenty of guilt to expiate. From early in the 20th Century, the Jews of the Diaspora sought a return to Palestine as an answer to their centuries-long refugee status. By the end of WWII, as the genocidal meaning of the Holocaust had been shoved in everybody’s face, there was a desperate need to find a place to put the Jewish refugees from many European countries. Frankly, nobody wanted them in their own country, including the most “civilized” Western states. Britain, exhausted from years of mediating between Jews and Arabs under the Protectorate, was more than happy to wash their hands of the whole deal. The creation of the Jewish state of Israel was a desperation move on the part of the international community to solve a huge refugee problem . . . by creating a new refugee problem.”
