the one about books

I adore the atmosphere that a big ceiling fan creates around mid-day in room where the airflow moves the curtains in big dreamy slow-motioned curves. Nothing is as relaxing except being on an empty beach that fades everything away into the waters.

Here is a friend of mine with superb talents of explanation. You may have seen one of his books on the shelves.
PS: made in UAE. :)

And since it is a holiday, I have been trying to pick up speed on reading. Here is a quote from ?The Blue Nowhere? by Jeffery Deaver as he talks about Cyberspace:

?The line between the machine world and the real world is becoming more and more blurred everyday. But it is not that we are turning into automatons or becoming slaves to machines. No, humans and machine are simply growing towards each other. We?re bending machines to our purpose and nature. In the Blue Nowhere, machines are taking on our personalities and culture ? our language, myths, metaphors, philosophy and spirit. And those personalities and cultures are in turn being changed more and more by the Machine World itself.

Think about the loner who used to return home from work and spend the night eating junk food and watching TV all night. Now, he turns on his computer and enters the Blue Nowhere, a place where he interacts ? he has tactile stimulation on the keyboard, verbal exchanges, he?s challenged. He can?t be passive anymore. He has to provide input to get some response. He?s enters a higher level of existence and the reason is that machines have come to him. They speak his language.

For good or bad, machines now reflect human voices, spirits, hearts and goals. For good or bad, they reflect human conscience, or the lack of conscience, too.”
