YORIKA, GP

YORIKA — I only fully understood how primary health service work in UK last week. The patients first point of contact is their nearby General Practicioner - which is much as we have back home. The big difference, however, is that the system is built so that the more this community doctor takes care of his patients, the more he is going to get paid. It is based on government-private partnership, which doesnt make any difference for patients because they dont pay anyway. It sounds unfeasable at first, but I spent much of last saturday looking at the Department Of Health online documentation and it seems possible to use something similar at home. I think I am going to write an article about this one day.

On the internet front, tomorrow is our Moderation Forum open day, make sure you are a registered member to be able to come and have a look.
