UAE Numbers + hyde park
I skimmed through the CIA fact book today checking some data entries for UAE out of interest. I compared them to UK?s entries to put the numbers in prospect. Here are some interesting ones I picked.
Budget: How much money the country burns to keep it running every year.
UAE
revenues: $20 billion
expenditures: $22 billion.
UK:
revenues: $565 billion
expenditures: $540 billion
GDP: The total market value of all the goods and services produced within the borders of a nation each year.
UAE : $51 billion
UK : $1520 billion
External Debts: The total public and private debt owed to non-residents repayable in foreign currency, goods, or services.
UAE : $12.1 billions
UK : 0
Population below poverty line:
UAE: 0
UK : 17%
Inflation rate: The persistent increase in the level of consumer prices or the persistent decline in the purchasing power of money, caused by an increase in available currency and credit beyond the proportion of available goods and services.
UAE: 4.5 %
UK : 2.1 %
Most interesting numbers. And the fact book contains even more of them.
To allow ourselves to produce in a creative way, we need to establish an environment in which we feel relaxed and able to move forwards with our thoughts. Tidiness is crucial for my thinking process and untidy surrounding can bring the creative part of my brain to a complete halt. A guy I saw last weekend has made his own comfortable environment in the middle of the Hyde Park in London. The photo below probably explains it well.
