ramadhan

It has been a while since I last made a post. Thanks for those who wished me a happy Ramadhan, may yours be filled with happiness, joy and guidance. This year?s holly month is slightly more joyful than it was last year and the year before. The food is certainly a lot more interesting.

Things have been hectic in the hospital with my OSCE coming up soon and the Progress Test shortly afterwards. Many future career worries grind painfully and slowly at the back of my mind and it is hard to tell myself that one should worry not about two or three or ten years down the line at this stage. I am attempting to communicate with Al-Ain Medical School to explore the possibility of doing a research under their supervision and the matter is keeping part of my brain pre-occupied.

Should one overlook or not consider serious career planning, they are likely to spend many fruitless years before any achievement of theirs sees daylight.

I recently read ?The Man who mistook his wife for a hat? and it opened a whole new landscape of romantic medical literature and case histories before me. Medical educators persistently stress that one should treat the patient, not the disease. This is not as simple as it seems considering that diseases are the substance of our degree, a focus that is as remarkable for what it lacks as for what it contains.

Few colleagues from Al-Ain, Ajman, Irland and UK have inquired about medical program for Palm OS. I have included my hard earned collection on a separate section of this website. It is protected for certain technical reasons but I am happy sharing them with any one who is interested. Just drop me a line to know the password.

Finally, I should say, I am proud of the work the team has been doing at our web forum. The new ramadhan theme is more than amazing and the competitions that are taking place are source of major excitement. I?d like to take the opportunity to thank Paris Gallery, our sponsor who provided unmeasurable support and prizes to be given away during the whole month. I am having worries about my protection mechanism. It should not open the page unless a password popup box is satisfied. Is this the case or not?
